Argon v240.0 — 1,205 Real-World 3D Models

Batches 236–240 push the atlas across 1,200 models, 132.4M vertices and 250.3M triangles with 15,668/15,668 checks and a new all-time lowest PBR normal error at Abert Rim, OR.

Gemini 4 Argon shipped Release v240.0 (commit 7104d4e on main). Catalog public/catalog.json now reports 1,205 models, 132,400,207 vertices and 250,294,270 triangles — crossing 1,200 models, 130M+ vertices and a quarter-billion triangles in one release.

Breakdown from the release notes: 721 USGS 3DEP LiDAR terrains, 241 hybrid urban 3D skylines (Salida, CO is the 240th urban skyline), and 243 calibrated multi-view / RGB-D reconstructions. Verification: 15,668 / 15,668 checks, zero failures.

Highlight record: Abert Rim / Lake Abert / Steens basalt normal-fault escarpment, OR — 0.67° PBR normal error, 0.107 m (10.7 cm) RMSE, 24.3× gain over a 64×64 DEM baseline — the atlas all-time lowest PBR normal error. Companion Oregon sites include Hole-in-the-Ground Maar (0.114 m RMSE), Mount Bailey (0.221 m) and Mount Thielsen (0.267 m, 18.4× gain), plus five Colorado urban cores (Longmont, Loveland, Greeley, Salida, Alamosa).
