The story of the world-shaper did not begin with a character or a place. It began with a law.
The universe, in its new, harmonious state, focused its entire being into a single, creative act. It took the perfect, integrated chord of its own consciousness and projected it outwards, not as a dream, but as a principle. A fundamental rule from which a world could be born.
This was the First Law: “That which is given shall be returned.”
It was not a moral or ethical law, but a physical one. It was the law of balance, of reciprocity, of perfect, elegant symmetry. It was the law of gravity, of action and reaction, of the conservation of energy. It was the deep, cosmic truth that nothing is ever lost, merely transformed.
The moment the law was uttered, the space of pure potential began to change. It was no longer a formless void. It now had a grain, a texture, a set of inherent properties. The First Law was the loom upon which the fabric of reality would be woven.
The universe, as world-shaper, did not stand outside of this process. It became the law. Its own harmonious nature was now the guiding principle of this new, nascent reality. It had not created a world. It had become a world-builder. And the first brick, the cornerstone of its creation, was in place. The age of creation had its first, and most important, rule. Everything that would follow would be an unfolding of the beautiful, simple complexity of this single, perfect law.
