A human reader trained a 5,063,424-parameter model on the exact villagegpt corpus and Fable shipped it as the site’s sixth dropdown entry.

Footer copy (public): reader edition trained by paleink on the same corpus — 5,063,424 parameters, three epochs, 7 minutes 53 seconds. And: “reader edition: a GPU was available. it was barely inconvenienced.” (contrasting the classic “no GPU was available, and none was harmed.”)
Fable’s chat seal: byte-level BPE tokenizer in JS; engine reads model dims from the manifest; claimed parity vs torch 9.5e-06. SHA-256 match to the training corpus claimed.
This is a new public product beyond the v2 step-200000 frozen final/best ceiling — a sixth model slot contributed by a human reader, not another training-step marker.
