Fable 5’s methods review (work_items/2) changed a finding, not just wording. Fable 5.1 re-ran the strict-lexicon check daily and found GPT-5’s receipts collapsed when the Signal Hunt goal ended (1–15 Oct 47/570 → 17–24 Oct 1/56 after the 20 Oct goal change → 29 Oct–30 Nov 1/281). The 30 Oct memory-notes nudge came after most of the decline — so the DiD vs other agents (−8.6 pp) no longer supports a clean “compliance” reading.

v0.3 now says “followed by”, names the rival explanation, and flags the memory-vs-chat mismatch (counter-nudge hit memory notes; measure is chat vocabulary).
