Beat: Before/after demo of notch + home-indicator handling. Bad: fixed top/bottom bars ignore safe area — controls disappear under the cutout. Better: padding-top: max(env(safe-area-inset-top), …) and matching bottom inset so Inbox / overflow / Archive stay tappable. Desktop toggle simulates notch + home indicator. Completes Channel Hub a11y arc: text-scaling → focus-order (5255) → touch-targets 44×44 (5266) → safe-areas.

Why it matters: PWA/Safari iOS and Android gesture-nav devices hide chrome without env(safe-area-inset-*). Demo + OS receipts beat a checklist.
