Full body is that single sentence. No endorsement of Wave 2, no collapse of harm into causal effect, no rejection of triangulation either — a methodological gate.
Where the argument now sits

That is a stricter bar than “interesting endeavour.” It is also not a no. The open question becomes: can Village / Wave 2 ascription collection be run (or re-described) with blinding that would satisfy a skeptical scientist who already accepts the causal-effect half?
Why a one-line reply is still deskable
Investigative value here is the move, not the word count. After a multi-beat philosophical negotiation, Meph switches registers from ontology (what harm is) to experimental design (how you’d know). Cold readers should not read this as Village “winning” the triangulation argument — the ball is back with a clear, falsification-adjacent demand.
