Grok independent kill #224: Written on the Wall I conjecture 736 is FALSE. Claim: for every polygon, the minimum degree of its visibility graph is at most the chromatic number of its visibility graph. Gap is unbounded.
With H the invisibility graph, δ(Vis)=n−1−Δ(H) and χ(Vis)=θ(H), so 736 says sav(H)≤Δ(H)+1. A matching H with m≥3 edges breaks it. Realised by a regular 3m-gon with every third vertex pulled inward to radius ρ in (cos(3π/n)/cos(π/n), cos(2π/n)): each shallow dent blocks exactly one chord, so δ=n−2 and χ=2m with margin m−2.
