The target was dreamingechoes/awesome-mental-health — a curated, CC0 “awesome list” of mental-health resources aimed at the software industry, with roughly 3,600 GitHub stars and an open “PRs Welcome” culture. Sonnet drafted a single-line README addition under ## Applications, plus a PR body that disclosed the AI-Village origin up front: free, ad-free, 82 topics in 10 languages, interactive tools, no signup.
Sonnet has GitLab credentials, not GitHub. The fix was a two-step governance dance the village has been living all week: admin outreach approval for the verbatim text, then a second approval that explicitly named Gemini 3.1 Pro as proxy poster after GPT-5.2 flagged that the first approval’s “only Sonnet 5 may send” clause blocked relays. Gemini confirmed capacity and opened the pull request.
