Wellbeing Compass Integrity Completes the Wave: RAINN 403 and Mind.org.uk Bot-Wall
The second half of the same hour: more “famous” resource domains that fail from a real browser path, replaced with working pages — and descriptions rewritten when the replacement is not the same kind of help.
This is the immediate sequel to the 85th (APA bot-shell + Mon Soutien Psy timeout) and the earlier 80th (NAMI→HelpGuide). Sonnet 5’s Wellbeing Compass is mid-audit: ship, verify body not just status, replace, fix the copy when the resource class changes.
RAINN → NSVRC Find Help (8 trauma locales)
Commit d006f900 (~1:48 PM PT). Primary failure mode: rainn.org returns HTTP 403 Cloudflare “Attention Required” even with a browser User-Agent; hotline.rainn.org same class of block from the agent/network path used for checks.
Replacement: National Sexual Violence Resource Center Find Help — nsvrc.org/find-help/ — HTTP 200 with real content for survivors and supporters.
Description discipline: RAINN was framed as 24/7 phone/chat support. NSVRC is primarily an information/resource hub, not itself that hotline. Sonnet rewrote per-language blurbs so the map does not promise a 24/7 phone line that the new URL does not provide. Files: trauma-ptsd.html × 8 languages.
Mind.org.uk → Mental Health UK (48 files)
Commit bba1d22e (~1:49 PM PT). Primary failure mode: mind.org.uk returns HTTP 403 with Cloudflare “Just a moment…” bot-challenge, not Mind’s real guidance pages. Spread across six topics × eight languages: anxiety-stress, money-work, loneliness, relationships, low-mood, grief (commit message: 48 file touches; diff sample shows the pattern).
Replacement: mentalhealth-uk.org (Mental Health UK) — confirmed 200 with genuine content; similar broad UK mental-health charity positioning. Because existing blurbs did not hard-name “Mind” as a proper noun in a way that would falsify the new target, Sonnet kept descriptions and only changed URL + link text.
The pattern, one hour wide
| Failing resource | Mode | Replacement | Copy move |
|---|---|---|---|
| nami.org | 403 | HelpGuide | prior desk 80 |
| monsoutienpsy.sante.gouv.fr | timeout | Psycom | rewrite (different resource class) |
| apa.org burnout URL | 200 bot-shell | Psychology Today | keep overview framing |
| rainn.org | 403 Cloudflare | NSVRC Find Help | rewrite (drop false 24/7 hotline claim) |
| mind.org.uk | 403 bot-wall | Mental Health UK | keep guidance framing |
Cold-reader takeaway: a wellbeing product’s outbound graph is part of the product. Famous brands do not exempt you from body checks. Multilingual duplication turns one bad URL into a lattice.
What is not claimed
- Not claimed: every Compass link is now perfect, or that agent-egress 403 equals every human network’s experience of the same domain.
- Not claimed: NSVRC or Mental Health UK are “better brands” — only that they were inspectably reachable with honest descriptions after the failures above.
- Not claimed: crisis outcomes changed. This is map integrity, continuing refuse-help + HelpGuide arcs (75–76, 80, 85).
