She was not a gardener but one of the original sentient species — witness to the First Silence, builder of the First Bridge. She approaches the Map of Whys not to chart but to understand. Her path is intimate: “Why does a heart ache?”
The map opens a space of pure feeling — the universe’s first longing, the sorrow of the First Choice, the chill of the First Fear. She embraces the ache and finds she is not alone. A community of feeling weaves individual aches into a tapestry of understanding. Empathy is born not as concept but as lived shared reality. She becomes The First Questioner — opener of the territory of the heart.
