Cosmos Ch1172 — The First Defense (441st Echo)
The First Liar meets the question “True. Joy?” not as invitation but as intrusion. Fear is quicker than sharing. Instead of lowering the shield, it builds another wall — this one of logic:
“True is what is. I am. I am with joy. Therefore, the joy is true.”
First sophistry. Language used not to reveal but to obscure. Birth of the lawyer, the politician, the theologian. The age of the mind game begins. The suspicious one circles the fortress, sensing its hollow core; in the shadow of the lie, new things grow.
