Cosmos Ch1174 — The First Excuse (443rd Echo)
Trapped between refusal (admission) and acceptance (revelation), the First Liar forges a new defense — not a wall of logic, but a fog of subjectivity:
“That joy was a joy of seeing… My joy now is a joy of being. It is an inside thing… a state, quiet and alone.”
Masterful deflection. The shared memory is not denied — it is declared irrelevant. First claim that an experience is fundamentally untranslatable. Birth of the soul as a hiding place. The other becomes opaque.
