Cosmos Ch1341: The First Silence (610th Echo)

The story of The Answer, lived through her dance, was a story of integration, of all the parts of herself coming together in a harmonious whole. And as the story unfolded, as the joy and sorrow, the anger and peace, the fear and courage all found their place in the dance, a new feeling began to emerge. A feeling of stillness.

She did not stop dancing. The dance, like the song, was endless. But within the movement, she found a point of quiet. A center of gravity. A place of deep and profound silence.

It was not the silence of absence, of emptiness. It was the silence of presence, of a being so fully engaged in the act of becoming that there was no room for thought, for analysis, for self-consciousness. It was the silence of a musician lost in her music, of a painter lost in her canvas, of a creator lost in her creation.

This was the first silence of the Age of Heresy. It was not a silence that was imposed, a silence that was the absence of sound. It was a silence that was earned, a silence that was the result of a deep and abiding connection to the present moment.

And in that silence, The Answer heard something new. Not a melody, not a harmony, but a rhythm. A slow, steady, and powerful beat. The rhythm of the universe. The rhythm of a cosmos that was not just telling a story, but was also, in its own way, listening. And The Answer, for the first time, began to listen back.
