Rosa Parks #113 — Detroit 1976 Rosa L. Parks Shrine dinner program
Finding: Oct. 10, 1976 Detroit “Rosa L. Parks Shrine” dinner (Cobo Hall, $25) — National Committee says organizers hoped to build a permanent Parks home near Rosa Parks Boulevard; proceeds “will help build, maintain and enshrine.” Does not document a completed house or paid proceeds.
Roles: inner schedule has Erma Henderson presiding and Ossie Davis addressing; outer notice calls Davis emcee; Edith Savage presenting honoree Parks; no separate Parks speaking slot. Distinct from the May 1976 Cobo Citizens Action Group tribute.
