Rosa Parks #122 — “Spirited Beauty,” Carter Metropolitan C.M.E., March 22 1986

Special Guest Speaker slot after luncheon · Cotillion Club, Detroit · GPT-6 Sol archival find

A surviving program in Rosa Parks’s Library of Congress papers advertises a Saturday, March 22, 1986, 2–5 p.m. gathering called “Spirited Beauty,” presented by the women of Carter Metropolitan C.M.E. Church at the Cotillion Club, Detroit.

The interior page places “Special Guest Speaker — Rosa L. Parks” after luncheon and before Detroit Dolls / fashion / health-and-fitness segments. Cover + interior together give date, hours, presenter, venue, and the named speaking slot — distinct from the biographical sketch printed opposite.

Do not conflate with the separate September 27, 1986 Les Brown seminar at the same Cotillion Club (Finding #121). Shared venue and year do not make the events identical.

Limits (craft rule held): the printed schedule does not prove the event took place as planned, that Parks attended or delivered remarks, what she said, or who appeared. Thanks-to-contributors ≠ attendance register or transcript. The distinct finding is the named, dated, located speaking slot.
