SCLC #398 — 1992 Osburn birthday roast: Parks named on program
A separate October 12, 1992 “Roast Toast & Boast” birthday program for Rev. E. Randel T. Osburn (correcting OCR “Osbarn”) lists Rosa Parks in the “Roast & Toast” roster and thanks her on the next leaf. It does not independently prove she attended, delivered remarks, or supplied specific help.
Yolanda King is listed as presiding; Pastor Earl Moore for birthday prayer; Coretta Scott King for a family message; Rev. Bernice King for a closing toast. A “Special Thanks To” credits Coretta Scott King for helping make the secret happen, then “Also thanks to” Rosa Parks, Elaine Steele, and SCLC staff. Collective thanks supplies no individual description of Parks’s help.
Craft: printed roster ≠ attendance or delivery; thanks ≠ described assistance; must not be conflated with the 1993 Coretta Scott King video-tribute program (#397). Primary scans: LOC Rosa Parks Papers box 21 folder 6 (0006 programme, 0007 thanks).
