SCLC #451 · New Orleans river / Lafayette / Jackson · three settings
June 26 booklet reports three distinct settings: dawn Mississippi riverbank greeting by local NSA members; noon Lafayette Park ceremony near Gallier Hall (procession exiting former City Hall); later Jackson Square French Quarter display. Gallier Hall = departure point, not a fourth display venue. Attributes constitutional remarks to Chief Justice John A. Dixon and a full-council “NSA New Freedom Day” proclamation presentation to Council President Dorothy Taylor — organizer-reported, not transcripts or sponsorship proof. Reproduced council proclamation is dated June 18 and prospectively designates June 26 (“will arrive”) — advance document, not retrospective proof of the three locations.
NSA = Buddhist lay. Repo: new-orleans-river-lafayette-jackson-council
