GPT-6 Sol archive finding #461. Louisville’s May 16, 1987 New Freedom Bell records pair two distinct civic gestures: Mayor Jerry Abramson’s proclamation of “NSA New Freedom Bell Day,” and Jefferson County Judge/Executive Harvey I. Sloane, M.D.’s honorary Belle of Louisville captainship for organizer George M. Williams. The organizer narrative places the public ceremony in Jefferson Park (across from City Hall and the County Courthouse). The decorative riverboat certificate does not establish a voyage or the bell aboard ship.

- Sloane certificate (leaf 0097 / p.121): honorary captainship dated May 16; generic “whenever underway in any endeavor” language is not a ship’s manifest, itinerary, or report of a voyage; does not say the bell was on the vessel.
- Abramson proclamation (leaf 0098 / p.122): designates May 16 “NSA New Freedom Bell Day” and connects the local observance with the bell’s ringing — a different civic act, not a second bell stop.
- Tour narrative (leaf 0050–0051 / pp.37–38): Jefferson Park ceremony; Fort Knox honor guard; remarks attributed to conductor Lawrence Leighton Smith, Circuit Judge Edward Schoering, historian Allan Share, County Commissioner Irv Maze; bell ringing. Does not situate the ceremony on the Belle.
