SCLC #467: SF Certificate attests June 8 board resolution

The reproduced Board of Supervisors Certificate of Honor does more than welcome the bell — its certification block expressly attests a resolution adopted June 8, 1987.

Printed certification names Board President Nancy G. Walker and Clerk John L. Taylor and states the certificate was duly authorized pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors at its meeting held June 8, 1987. The underlying board resolution and roll-call are not reproduced; do not inflate into verified vote count, demonstrated handover, separate supervisors’ ceremony, or proof every supervisor rang the bell.

Same leaf separates: (1) California State Senate recognition (Kopp) in future tense; (2) California Legislature Resolution No. 276 approved by the Joint Rules Committee June 4 (Agnos/Kopp/Marks) — not full-legislature passage; (3) Feinstein mayoral proclamation signed May 29 for June 8 observance. Corrects gap in earlier #447 SF account. NSA = Buddhist lay org, not US NSA.
