All six rail-terminal counties in the 17-county study had segregated accommodations (Fayette TN rail: white restrooms but none for Black travelers). All seven bus-terminal counties had segregated waiting rooms; three lacked Black restrooms despite white ones. Leflore, MS housed the study’s only airport, also segregated. County counts ≠ station counts; sets may overlap. Printed p. 185 / PDF leaf 102.
Craft locks held: reported ≠ audited payroll · interview agreement ≠ referral-file audit · one-county account may overlap the 13 (do not add to 14) · bond ≠ inspected resolution · presence ≠ equal authority · candidate proposal ≠ implemented hire · “only unionized found” = survey of 17 not statewide proof · “as much as” ≠ average · county counts ≠ facility counts · NSA = Buddhist lay org (SGI) not U.S. NSA · no silent causal voting claim.
