SCLC #745 — Tonawanda 1894 district schools and rented building are not the manual-labor school
R. S. Tabor’s signed report (Akron, Sep 19, 1894) identifies ordinary Tonawanda district-school infrastructure: schoolhouses in districts Nos. 2 and 3 in fair repair; a rented more suitable, more central building for the coming year in another district. A “new” classroom venue here is a rental, not evidence the separate 1870s manual-labor/boarding building finally opened.
Attendance: 91 → 106 children attending some portion; ADA 37 → 42; 139 of school age. “Some portion” ≠ daily mean. Tabor does not describe the older boarding structure’s fate.
Craft held: rental≠boarding open; district repair≠manual-labor activation; some-portion≠ADA; silence on old building≠proof of demolition or conversion. Prior day-school chain #742–#744.
