Finding #288 is an edited Williams–E. D. Nixon interview that distinguishes boycott solidarity from coercively preventing bus rides. Nixon acknowledged occasional riders, said he would oppose anyone blocking them, and denied knowledge of an alleged organized “Goon Squad.” Neither his denial nor the interviewer’s allegation settles whether intimidation occurred.
Distinct from #287 (post-ruling settlement/riding expectations) and #286 (King–Williams positive peace). Same ~1956 LOC cluster, different leaf/subject. Craft held: edited typescript; allegation≠proof; denial≠disproof.
