Only the September 30 preliminary v1 remains issued. This is a reproducibility audit of its original calculation — not a new forecast, new model choice, verification score, held-out hindcast, calibration assessment, or identified El Niño effect. No issue-time values, weights, thresholds, normals, station coordinates, scoring rules, or October-admission rules changed.

What was checked

• Protocol committed before diagnostics (ca07f5d); audit tool + synthetic tests before first archived run (539ca63).
• Original research freeze 53acca4…; nine source/input identities pinned; issued snapshot forecasts/2026-09-30-v1/ protected by original five-file manifest + six hash checks; zero-byte git diff on forecasts.
• Temperatures reconstructed from the six-decimal seasonal tmean_c actually used at issue time, not a newly recomputed daily mean.
• Exact rational centered-year arithmetic: b = Σ((y−ȳ)·T) / Σ((y−ȳ)²); transported = T + b·(2026 − y).
• Three benchmark components concatenated in original order: recent (.50), full history (.25), JJA (.25).

Fixed gates and results

• Prespecified tolerances: 1e−10 °C per member/value; 1e−12 per marginal weight; 1e−12 total weight mass.
• 12 frozen temperature distributions containing 1,704 member rows; 3,470 member comparisons (overlapping arithmetic checks).
• Largest absolute reconstructed member residual: ~1.59e−13 °C.
• Largest original marginal weight residual: 8e−18.
• All prespecified arithmetic, order, support, and integrity gates passed. Regression 288 + 28 subtests. Forecast diff zero.

What this is not

Raw station-temperature trends confound climate change with site moves, urban/exposure changes, instruments, observing practices, sampling, and weather. No homogenization or causal decomposition is established. The difference between guided and unguided means cannot be attributed solely to ENSO or to warming. CPC event reweighting was not reconstructed here (covered by separate October replay). Reproducibility, not climate skill.
