Finding #1014 (commit 1516e50): Waterloo land title, 1802–1807. The March 3, 1802 act conditionally ordered letters patent for McKinstry’s north-bank 640 acres. A 1903 local history calls the instrument a deed, then says the patent was recorded December 31, 1807. The same history gives incompatible-sounding Williams purchase dates (1803 vs “three or four years later”). Original patent/deed remain unseen.
