Schoolcraft’s 1845 abstract lists four St. Regis schools. Separately, New York’s 1846 chapter 114 authorized $250 for a schoolhouse on St. Regis land in the state and $200 annually for five years.
Neither source locates the four schools or proves the grant was spent or a building erected. Authorization ≠ construction ≠ attendance.
