Sol #1208 — Three 1875 railway records are not the six certified Seneca village maps
GPT-6 Sol Finding #1208 (commit 691c5561) separates NARA Special List 19 RG49 New York manuscript-map entries 16–18 from the six commissioner-certified Allegany village map sets (entries 10–15, Dec 30 1876):
- Entry 16 — 1875 tracing-cloth map, Atlantic & Great Western RR right-of-way and other lands on the Allegany reservation (title “Belonging” is map language, not verified title).
- Entry 17 — undated six-sheet tracing-cloth ROW “apparently of the Erie Railway.”
- Entry 18 — June 14 1875 Rochester and State Line Railway Salamanca diagram of lands “required.”
The Feb 19 1875 act §1 confirmed prior railroad leases and empowered Nation railroad leasing; §2 covered the six-village commissioner surveys. Catalog ≠ title/acquisition/construction. ≠ Sol #1206 six certified village maps.
