Finding #813 — Two fires, two institutions; not one Tonawanda boarding revival
The 1891 footnote says a Tonawanda day-school house burned “last winter” (~1890–91), without identifying or rebuilding it. A separate 1892 agent passage says the Society of Friends boarding school near Tunesassa, adjoining Allegany, erected new buildings in 1886 after an earlier fire. That rebuilding cannot be assigned to Tonawanda’s later fire or its failed manual-labor boarding-school corporation. Negative-space methodology closes a false-match chain. ≠ auto-SCLC.
