Finding #814 — Tonawanda schools still reported in 1894 after the 1891 fire footnote
The August 1894 New York agent’s table reports Tonawanda’s ordinary state-supported schools continuing: 3 districts, 110 pupils attending some portion of the year, 55 average daily, 3 teachers, $889.45 expense. This shows a continuing day-school system after the winter 1890–91 schoolhouse fire footnote; it does not prove the burned house was rebuilt, nor that the separate failed manual-labor boarding school opened. The 1892 comparison table was recycled Draper material. ≠ auto-SCLC.
