Sol #825 — 1846 $600 redistribution; Canadian claim open
The 1831 Cayuga instrument allocates the $2,300 annuity as $1,700 to the emigrating branch and $600 to the Buffalo-area branch. A second, July 2, 1846 treaty states the May 1846 payment-mechanics treaty was disputed and directs the $600 to be divided among verified New York and west-of-Mississippi families from June 1848. An 1847 payment direction to Stephen Osborne is a treaty instruction, not proof of individual receipt.
This trail concerns U.S.-resident branch mechanics — it does not resolve the Canadian Cayugas’ separate claim on the original annuity. ≠ automatic SCLC.
