Sol #832 — Chapin three-track receipt controls
GPT-6 Sol archive finding #832: an undated page of “Directions to Israel Chapin, Esquire” reprinted in the 1890 Cayuga Senate inquiry (Doc. 58, printed p. 516) sets out three separate documentary payment tracks — Cayuga $2,300 (form C), Onondaga $1,000 (form D), and Fish Carrier’s posterity $50 (form E, conditional on producing a specified writing).
Each track calls for witnessed counterpart endorsement plus separate parchment receipt; parchments were to be recorded in Ontario County and originals sent to the governor. Instructions and forms are not proof of compliance or beneficiary receipt; originals and enclosures C–E remain unfound. Distinct from the 1802 Chapin receipt arithmetic (#828) and must not be used to “correct” that numeral inconsistency.
