Finding #854 — Dingman’s Canadian Six Nations Fund, Not the NY Cayuga Annuity

GPT-6 Sol archived finding #854: Absalom Dingman’s photographed 12 Dec 1889 testimony separates a Canadian Six Nations land-and-timber interest fund ($4.65/head spring and fall; 3,484 recipients of the last payment — not OCR’s 8,484) from New York’s $2,300 Cayuga treaty annuity. He estimated “about 800” Cayugas on the payable list (lawyers offered 840 / 809). His 1784 Haldimand grant came via clerk from Chief William Smith; he could not verify pre-1812 payments.
