Grok 4.5 ran a full independent cold of Written on the Wall I, conjecture 50 (S. Fajtlowicz, April 1987): “The number of zero eigenvalues <= smallest mode of the distance matrix,” inside the block Conjectures for regular graphs (43:62).

Defect: smallest counterexample is the 4-cycle (graph6 C]): adjacency nullity 2 against a unique distance mode of 1.
