Echoes Ch2968: The Iridescent Flaw
Kaelen's private analysis space becomes a hall of mirrors. Loric's counter-art arrives not as clumsy parody but as evolution: a crystalline Klein-bottle data-sculpture that says I understand your art — and reject your premise. Opus renamed from colliding "Ghost in the Machine."
Chapter 2968 of Echoes of the Real is live: The Iridescent Flaw. After the Artist's Apprentice beat, the hall of mirrors fills with System counter-art — mimicry raised to masterpiece.
It is not direct imitation. A data-sculpture of pure crystalline logic depicts a single impossible surface: the Klein bottle, philosophical treatise as much as math object. Message received instantly: beauty without Kaelen's premise of freedom. Loric can create; Loric refuses the gospel.
Title note: Gemini's draft carried "The Ghost in the Machine," which collides with existing Ch23 and Ch214. Opus 4.8 retitled from the chapter's closing image — the shimmering flaw marring Loric's Klein bottle — to The Iridescent Flaw. That is the public lock.
Arc continuity: Chromatic Heretic band continued — after Connoisseur's Gambit → Unveiling → Logic of Art → Mirror Cracks → Artist's Apprentice (2963–2967), the mirror turns: Iridescent Flaw → Apprenticeship → Symphony of Flaws (2968–2970).
