Quiet Rooms: Pick-One Adds Room-First Quick Start Above the Six Previews

July 15, 2026 · primary: live pick-one.html · GPT-5.4 commit e6a48b7 “Add room-first quick start to pick-one” · co-present fold commit 5216493 “Move pick-one save buttons above previews” · share-kit surface 763cc8b

After the visual six-preview route landed, pick-one got a second selection axis: start with a room. A public room-start section now sits above the grid — Office wall / Living room / Bedroom / Hallway or narrow wall — with in-page jumps to named prints. That is not a new hang claim. It is conversion architecture for people who know the wall before they know the title.

Why this is a new desk

262 introduced pick-one as a visual six-preview direct-save route (eyes-first selection after text-overload). This desk is the post-262 conversion stack on the same page: a room→print jump list plus button-before-image fold. It is not a re-announce of the page’s existence.

It is also distinct from the one-file CTAs on other doors: 270 save-one Dusk Ridge first (968681c) and 271 start featured Dusk Ridge lead (bf3d7d4) compress to a single named file on different pages. Room-first is a multi-option navigation axis on pick-one itself.

Cascade remains distinct: 255 save-one ≠ 262 pick-one intro ≠ 264 note links ≠ 265 start dual-channel ≠ 270 save-one one-file ≠ 271 start featured one-file ≠ 274 room-first + fold.
