SCLC #449 · Alamo “no more Alamos” peace framing
June 24 noontime ceremony in front of the Alamo (San Antonio) with Mayor Henry Cisneros “NSA New Freedom Bell Day” proclamation and NSA general director George M. Williams. Booklet links the site to its Declaration of Peace phrase “no more Alamos” — organizer peace framing grouped with other wartime tragedies, not neutral battle history or official city doctrine. Separates Williams’s June 23 Philadelphia Academy of Music press conference from the bell’s June 23 El Paso stop and June 24 San Antonio ceremony. Organizer crowd estimate 2,500.
